l The home team should provide a referee
(usually the teacher in charge) who is acceptable to the
visiting team.
l
The onus is on the home team teacher to contact
the visiting team if he/she considers that a game has to be
postponed owing to bad weather.
l
It is not the sole responsibility of the home
team teacher to contact the away team to arrange fixtures
(that responsibility is shared equally between both schools
concerned).
l
If a teacher finds that he/she is unable
to fulfil a fixture at the appointed time he/she should inform
the opposing school as soon as possible (most definitely
before the day of the scheduled game) and then rearrange the
fixture. Teachers who have difficulty in arranging cup ties or
league fixtures with another school should contact the
Secretary at the earliest possible opportunity and certainly
before the play-by date has
passed.
l
A game should not be postponed if a
'star' player (or players) happen/s to be unable to take part
in that
game.
l
The teacher in charge of his/her team is
responsible for the good conduct of his/her team and
spectators. No criticism of the referee's decisions should
take place from players or spectators. Spectators must not
influence the referee in his/her
decisions.
l
Spectators should be discouraged from
standing behind the goal-lines, particularly close to the
goalposts.
l
For safety reasons players must wear
shin-pads but must not wear watches or any form of jewellery.
First Aid kit should be provided at every game and, in case of
emergency, easy access to a telephone must be
available.
l
10
medals will be provided for both
finalists in the Harry Page, Ian Gustard, Barry Sutherland and
Turns Family Cup
competitions.
l
Trophy-winners must make good any damage
incurred and ensure that the trophy is suitably engraved and
polished. They must also ensure that the trophy is available
for presentation at the final/tournament of the following
season.
l
10 trophies will be provided for the
league champions and runners-up of Divisions A and B. Schools
which require additional league trophies must incur the extra
cost.
l
7 medals will be provided for both finalists in
the 5 a-side
tournament.
l
10 medals will be
provided for both finalists in the 7 a-side
tournament.
l
10
medals will be provided for both finalists in
the girls'
tournament.
l
Referees can call time early in a match if one
team is being badly beaten (n.b. goal difference is not taken
into account in our league). No team should lose a game by
more than six
goals.
l
Any school wishing to take part in cup competitions organised by
the Durham S.F.A. (e.g. the Alan Grimes Memorial Trophy, the
Leadgate Eden Colliery Cup, the Year 4 Trophy or the
Girls' Trophy) must inform the Secretary by 15th May so that
entry fees can be
paid.
